Set an employee's exact work schedule and see total employment costs for your whole team
By the Outstaffer Product Team
New
- Specific schedule replaces the Timezones option in Work times, so employers set the exact From and To hours an employee will work
- Timezones resolve at state level for countries that span multiple zones, so the overlap with your own hours is accurate
- The configured schedule appears on the employee’s job offer, so both sides agree the hours before acceptance
- Total employment costs are visible across all employees in a single combined view, including headcount in multiple countries
- Both employment cost tables show a totals row for each column
Improved
- Invoice and credit note tables in Billing hide voided items by default
- Same-day invoices for a company are always consolidated into one
Fixed
- Employment cost amounts are no longer rounded to whole dollars
- Work schedule wording and helper text, including the daylight-savings note, are clearer
Frequently asked questions
Why should I set a specific work schedule for an overseas employee?
The schedule sets the hours the employee is expected to work in their local time, so you can see exactly how they overlap with your team. It also determines whether any hours fall into the country's statutory night window, which affects night differential and other shift-based costs.
How do I set working hours for an employee in a different timezone?
Open Work times, choose Specific schedule and enter the From and To times. For countries with more than one timezone the schedule resolves to the employee's state, and the hours show on the job offer before they accept.
Can I see the total cost of my overseas team in one place?
Yes. The combined employment costs view totals every employee across every country, and each cost table has a totals row so you no longer add up individual contracts.
