Approve decisions inline on a support request and link related tickets
By the Outstaffer Product Team
New
- Approvals tab on tickets: create an approval point with a title, description and optional attachment, sent to the requester
- Requesters approve or decline inline from their own request, with a reason required to decline
- Approval points can be cancelled while awaiting a decision, and a ticket can carry more than one
- Related tickets tab links an existing ticket or creates and links a new one; links are always two-way
- Related tickets open in a side drawer showing Conversation, Tasks and Attachments, with reply and internal note from the drawer
- Every approval, link and unlink action is recorded in the activity log with actor and timestamp
Fixed
- Creating and linking a ticket on behalf of a requester no longer locks the requester field
- Contract summary’s Finalisation service row matches the selected service in the one-off costs breakdown
- Billing employment costs table reflects each employee’s current approved rates, including tax and compliance and health insurance
Frequently asked questions
How do approvals work on a support request?
The Outstaffer team creates an approval point describing what needs a decision. It appears on your request with an Awaiting approval status, and you approve or decline it there. Declining asks for a reason, and every action is logged.
Can my team manage HR decisions directly in the platform?
Yes. Decisions that used to live in email threads are now captured on the request itself, with the approval, the approver and the timestamp on record.
How do I keep track of HR requests that depend on each other?
Link them. Related tickets show on both sides, and the side drawer lets you review and respond to a linked request without losing your place.
